They thought I was crazy letting you go.
But I knew you’d be pacing and nervous before. You deserved to enjoy your day too, just as I was going to.
I went and got my hair done, had lunch with my bridesmaids, the photographer came.
You went to Route 66 and looked at cars.
It is one of your favorite events of the year and I wouldn’t stop you from looking at nice cars and spending time with a close friend just because we were getting married that day. I only asked for you to not get sunburnt and teasingly warned you not to be late to our wedding.
Of course, I was the one late that day while you waited, shifting weight from one foot to the other, jacket hung up so you would stay cool, the vest color finally right.
That is what our marriage is based on. Trusting each other’s choices and actions, letting go of control and knowing we can do our own thing. And you waiting for me while I was still getting ready.
Happy seventh anniversary my love.

Aw!!!! I love this
We’ve been married for almost 11 years and he is still the one always waiting for me. Beautiful post!
Very sweet… I stayed at the hotel where guest with the night before and he stayed at the house with his cousin – our ‘first look’ was very emotional and authentic!
That is so sweet and so cute. The day of our wedding, my husband went to work while I went to the beauty parlor, mostly to hide from my mother who was at our house. Oy!
Such a sweet post! My husband worked the night before our Wedding. After his 14 hour shift he came straight to the Wedding. He was the best looking zombie I had ever seen! =)
How very adorable! We wouldn’t have thought you were crazy. Sounds like you found your Prince Charming!!! Happy Anniversary to you both!
Fun story! We invited all of our friends and family to our wedding in Vegas so we packed the bridal shower, bachelor/ette parties, bridal spa, and groom golf all the same weekend! Thank goodness it was over a 4-day weekend.
The wedding photos you posted on your fb page are gorgeous. What a beautiful affair.
Happy Anniversary! I can’t remember what my hubby was doing because he was busy waiting for me. Love your photos!
Wow, a 7 year wedding anniversary… congrats on a good marriage and for being wise enough to tell your man not to get a sunburn.
