ABOUT

Mrs. Wonder aka Megan

grassportraitedit

In this season of my life I am a 34-year-old wife, married to my high school sweetheart I write from home while caring for Wonder Boy, born October 2009, and Lil’ Wonder, born June 2013, and a Chihuahua.

She hates being listed last.

In past seasons of my life I have been a journalist, photographer, Girl Scout, Kimberly Junior,  band geek, color guard instructor, photo lab technician, student and substitute teacher.

I live an hour from the beach, the desert and the mountains but never go very far from home.

I love the color yellow.

I am a founder of  SoCal Lady Bloggers, a group created after BlogHer ’11 with the purpose to bring together SoCal blogging ladies to facilitate meet ups and create support and friendship for local residents. In 2013 I stepped down to focus on family but am an active moderator on the Facebook group.

I am a member of Moms LA and Inland Moms and contribute to Someday I’ll Learn and formerly  The Trend Tribe.

Alice in Wonderland

Sunshine Wonderland- my thoughts and observations wandering through life married to my high school sweetheart and mother to an energetic and life-loving preschooler, Wonder Boy, and his ever growing sidekick Lil’ Wonder.

My mostly sunny view on life and gravitation toward all things yellow shows as I’ve been inspired to create, to decorate, to write and poke fun at myself.

2014 is bringing new adventures as I use the word ‘grace’ to inspire myself and tackle on even more as I grow my freelance career and spreading myself ever more thin (and hopefully getting thinner).

I talk about being life with my boys and being a homemaker.

My husband is amazing and has the love-filled tattos to prove it. (Link to Babyzone article where they are featured.)

Occasionally my chihuahua scampers through.

The sunny skies have darkened with clouds as I talk about my son’s cesarean delivery experience and my opinions on c-sections.

How mothers everywhere should be supported- not judged and never bullied.

I loved taking my son out to experience new things to eat and still do from time to time.
