The measles outbreak – a map project in progress

I’ve been racking my brain trying to think of a good project for my classes. Basically, this semester I have to create two semester long projects showing how I am learning to create maps, the decisions I made, etc.

But on the side, once I found a list of possible exposure sites for the measles outbreak in southern California I found my answer for at least one project.

It will be a little more difficult since I’m also having to input my own data, but for something that is timely and useful, I feel inspired.

Since it is in progress, it is not perfect. I don’t have any data besides the one article yet, but plan on refining what I have as well as adding more things to it.

The legend currently show the amount of days from the initial exposure at Disneyland on December 17th.
